What do I need to bring on the competition day?Have your competition entry ticket on you, just in case we have to verify that you have purchased a ticket. Bring a clean copy of your music! One of our committee members will collect it from you and hand it to the adjudicator. This is very important because the adjudicator will judge you using that copy of sheet music. If you are unable to bring one or arrive on the day without a clean copy of sheet music for the adjudicator, we will unfortunately have to disqualify you. Appropriate attire is best! You will be performing in front of a lot of people along with our esteemed adjudicator, so please wear performance and appropriate clothing! Be aware that our adjudicator will take inappropriate and careless dress codes into consideration when deciding prizes. Bow before and after your performance. Bowing to the audience is a traditional and formal etiquette to follow during all classical performances ever since the 18th century. We would encourage all performers to follow this etiquette and we also encourage all spectators to assist us and giving loud applause! Bring your best performance and a smile to the stage! Enjoy what you do, and do what you enjoy. Performing your best will make you happy and everybody around you will be pleased to see you bring your best to the stage! Smile!
